Throughout Winter/Spring 2021, Esperanza Arts Center is pleased to offer schools free access to a recording of Ologunde’s livestreamed performance at Teatro Esperanza, along with a downloadable Study Guide (courtesy of Ologunde) for student/classroom use to accompany this film.
Ologundê ensemble celebrates the rich Afro-Brazilian culture of Salvador, Bahia through a diverse repertoire of music, dance and martial arts.
Comprised of Brazilians living in the United States and Brazil, the ensemble includes former members of world-renowned music and dance troupes under the direction of master Afro-Brazilian percussionist Dendê Macêdo.
