Taíno stories form a rich tapestry of mythology, oral tradition, and symbolic narrative, offering profound insight into the worldview, spirituality, and daily life of the Indigenous Taíno people of the Caribbean. These ancestral teachings continue to resonate, providing timeless wisdom and reflection for the modern world. In an innovative collaboration, pianist and composer Suzzette Ortiz joins choreographer Christina Castro-Tauser to explore Taíno mythology through music and movement, bringing ancient narratives to life in a contemporary performance setting.

Food and Beverages are available for sale in the Teatro lobby courtesy of EAC’s official concession partner Helados Chupi Chupi.

Part of VOCES: EAC’s VOCES series spotlights a different facet of Latin American culture and traditions each season. This year’s VOCES Series, ¡BAILE! will feature dance from Latin America, the Latin Caribbean, and the Latin Diaspora.
